Our new school is finished, and it is beautiful – inside and out. Nearly all the funds have been raised thanks to more than 1,200 individual, foundation, and corporate contributors. All that remains is one final push: our playground and gym.
New playground equipment
We had planned to bring over the used equipment from the Holy Angels campus, but after analysis of the cost to move it and reinstall it, and based on its expected useful life, it’s obvious that new playground equipment was the best investment.
Turf war? No contest!
Another decision we made was to install durable, synthetic turf under the playground equipment. This is the best option for student safety and will help keep our new school (and student uniforms) cleaner.
Putting down roots
We would like to plant at least a few mature trees to provide shade and beauty along the fence. We will also plant younger trees to grow through the years, so there will always be greenery and perhaps even a bench or two for adults supervising kids at play.
Pint-sized players, full size gym
Our beautiful new gym will not only be used by elementary students during the day, but by elementary, middle school and high school students after school. Having another in-town gym will alleviate pressure on gym allocation/practice times at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. Francis.
Playing it safe
A key component of our playground plan is an attractive and substantial fence that will span the length of the property along Division Street. A fence of this nature requires substantial upfront costs, but should last for generations.
Will you give us one last push, and help us meet our final fundraising goal?
If you have already given, please join the more than 200 people who have increased their comittment to our campaign. If you have yet to give, please join us now and be assured that your name will be included on the campaign recognition display in the new building.
Thank you for helping us make the new school playground and gym a dream come true for our students.
