HOW TRIP WORKS
The Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP) allows families to save money on tuition by purchasing gift cards and certificates at face value, and a specific percentage of the amount you spend goes directly into your family’s tuition savings account. Participating vendors include Meijer, Speedway, and Sam’s Club/Walmart, as well as local family-owned businesses and restaurants.
- Purchase gift cards at face value online or at the TRIP office.
- Use your gift cards in-person at participating vendors or use e-cards online.
- A percentage of the amount spent is then applied to your family’s tuition savings account.
The credit is accrued through March 31 and applied to the following school year. TRIP credit can also be donated to the general GTACS Tuition Assistance to help others, or a specific department such as music or athletics.

THREE WAYS TO SAVE
- RaiseRight.com & the RaiseRight app: Shop 1,000+ gift cards online, e-cards, or reload physical gift cards you have already purchased from us. Rebates are also earned when you shop online, book travel, and dine locally.
- Physical Gift Cards: Purchase gift cards/certificates from our inventory of more than 75 retailers for everyday expenses including food, gas, clothing, entertainment, dining, and more. Our program purchases gift cards and certificates (“scrip”) at a discount, which we pass along to you as a tuition credit. Families keep 85% of their total earned rebate; GTACS retains 15% to run the program.
- In-Store: Local businesses offer rebates towards family tuition accounts. In-Store supporters are paid for their services and they, in turn, return a rebate to your family tuition account. Vendors include heating & cooling services, optometrists, orthodontists, florists, and more. When checking out, be sure to mention you participate in the TRIP program, and they will send us a credit to deposit to your account.
Families have saved hundreds of dollars each year with this program. Relatives and friends are also able to use the program to increase their savings.
